I have been using George Greenstein's bagel recipe for years. I add the 24 hour (or more) refrigeration period that is in the old-school NYC bagel making style. Only thing that is missing is New York water.

Comfort foods: Lara Sutherlin and spinach dip

I had a pizza making party over the weekend to celebrate my birthday. I asked my friends to come prepared to tell me the story about a favorite comfort food. Actually bringing said comfort food was a bonus, but all that was required was the story. Lara told a story about the spinach dip her family makes and the importance of using the correct brand of mayonnaise.
